Recently, we received a short and simple letter that read:

"I am 76 years old and alone.  Can you please send me a Christmas food basket?  I have no where else to turn.  Thank you."

Because of your generosity in supporting Volunteers of America, we were able to provide food and some Christmas gift to this gentleman.  He has Parkinson's disease and has difficulty getting around.  Although this was a simple request, it meant the world to this gentleman.

Our agency received more than 1,600 requests like the one above seeking assistance this Christmas.  Your donations allow Volunteers of America to continue its commitment to reach and uplift all people.

About .88 cents of every dollar that is donated to our agency is spent directly on our clients and services.
